How It All Got Started…

We stank.  Not only smelly, both of us were stiff and sore from cutting and loading firewood all day.  Most somewhere past middle age women don’t usually do this but with both our husbands away on jobs, somebody had to cut the wood.  Winters are long and cold in South Park, Colorado.  We were looking forward to a warm wood stove and a hot bath at the end of the day.  “Hey!  I’ll swap you some of my handmade sheep milk soap for some of your wonderful bath salts.”  I proposed to my longtime friend.  Debra Su perked up, “You’ll feel like a new person after you soak your tired body in my bath salts, maybe even a younger person.” she replied with a laugh.  And so it began, the two of us decided to swap and then later to share with everyone our skin and body loving bath products.  We handcraft all our products from the best natural and sustainable ingredients in small batches at our off grid homes.   We hope you and your friends will enjoy being pampered by South Park Soap Works, made in the real South Park, Colorado.

Be sure and visit South Park Cellar too, like any old storage area you never know what surprise might await you.  Unique barn finds, upcycled, repurposed and handmade items can be found for sale here along with sale and discontinued items from Soap Works.
